Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick could only work six days a month when he takes up his new role at the end of the season. The German took charge of the Red Devils in December following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sacking.
But his tenure will only last until the end of the current campaign, after which a permanent manager will take the reins.Man United are still yet to confirm who their next manager will be, though it is understood Paris Saint-Germain’s Mauricio Pochettino and Ajax’s Erik ten Hag are leading the race.
Meanwhile, Rangnick is set to take up a two-year consultancy role with new details having emerged over what that will entail. The Daily Mail claim Rangnick’s new role will see him take a far less hands-on approach at the club by only working 144 days across two years.
They also report the extent of Rangnick’s contribution going forward will largely depend on which manager is appointed.Pochettino and Ten Hag are currently favourites with Sevilla boss Julen Lopetegui and Spain’s Luis Enrique also in the mix.
