Erik ten Hag backed by staggeringly wealthy family - and 'doesn't need' Man Utd job

Manchester United as their next manager to replace Ralf Rangnick - but he does not need the money. In his native Netherlands, the Ten Hags are one of the richest families in the nation where they own a real estate company and several other financial firms.

Erik's brother Michel is the current chairman of the board.Erik's two brothers, Michel and Rico, run the business now that has been denoted as the biggest estate company in the eastern Dutch region.

The business was founded by their father, Hennie, in 1967.After 50 years at the helm, the Ten Hag patriarch stepped down from his role and Michel - the eldest of the three brothers - took his place in 2007.

But there is one glaring omission from the family brand.Currently the manager of Ajax, Erik has been heavily linked with the United post and is the frontrunner ahead of Mauricio Pochettino and Luis Enrique for the role.
