Manchester United may be closing in on appointing Erik ten Hag as their new manager but they face a late hijack from RB Leipzig, according to reports.The Red Devils have interviewed Ten Hag over their summer vacancy, with Ralf Rangnick's stint as interim manager set to end on June 1.
And the Dutchman has been identified as one of their primary targets along with Paris Saint Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino.But it appears that they're not the only side interested in the Ajax boss, as RB Leipzig have also made a late attempt.
And reports in the Netherlands have suggested that they're ready to hijack United's approach.That's according to Dutch paper De Telegraaf, who say that Leipzig are aware that Ajax will demand a fee of £2million to let Ten Hag go, but they are willing to match their requirements to bring him in.
And their interest in the Dutchman isn't new, as they've been chasing Ten Hag for some time.Last December the German side were chasing Ten Hag to replace Jesse Marsch, and they have already held an initial meeting with the Dutchman.
