Liverpool forward Taiwo Awoniyi is a target for both West Ham and Newcastle after an incredible goalscoring run in Bundesliga this season. The Nigerian international, 24, has recorded 17 goals in 36 appearances for Union Berlin and is being closely monitored by the Premier League duo.

And if they do choose to sell, Urs Fischer's side could also be set for a tidy profit - the Iron Ones are set to ask for five times the £6 fee they forked out for Awoniyi last summer.According to a report in The Sun, Newcastle or West Ham would have to fork out between £25m-£30m to see Union Berlin let go of their prized asset.

That is due to the fact that Liverpool had a 10 per cent sell-on clause added into Awoniyi's contract, pocketing the Reds a minimum of £2.5m.The former Liverpool flop has already bagged 17 times, and recorded five assists, in all competitions for European chasing Berlin and is enjoying his best goalscoring season to date.

Despite failing to make a single first-team showing for Jurgen Klopp's side, Awoniyi still commanded a £6m price tag. After seven loan spells away from Anfield, Awoniyi settled in Berlin last season but has ramped up his presence in front of goal over the current campaign - alerting both Newcastle and West Ham.HAVE YOUR SAY!
