Rio Ferdinand has told Manchester United to follow Arsenal’s lead as Erik ten Hag seemingly closes in on the managerial job.
Ten Hag looks set to make the move to Old Trafford, with Ajax expecting their boss to become United’s new permanent appointment.
The 52-year-old became the club’s preferred candidate last month, and now looks likely to beat fellow frontrunner Mauricio Pochettino to the role.
Ten Hag was interviewed for the job two weeks ago could become United's second Dutch manager following Louis van Gaal. United have not yet confirmed anything surrounding the appointment.
