A man was left stunned when he discovered the true value of a second-hand watch he'd worn for the last 40 years. The man appeared on the US version of Antiques Roadshow with a Rolex that his uncle gave to him in 1975.
The watch owner said: "He noticed that I wasn't wearing a watch on my wrist, so he literally took it off of his wrist, gave it to me, and that's how I acquired it," reports Daily Star.
He told Antiques Roadshow appraiser Peter Plane that he had no idea what the watch was really worth after receiving contradicting valuations.
While a Rolex store told him it was worth around $1,200 (£900), other people told him that it could be valued at more than $10,000 (£7,500).
