Just bear in mind that it will still be chilly after the sun sets, and blue feet are never a good look. The tricky question is then, what does one wear with a midi dress instead?
For the past few summers, most of us were wedded to our white trainers, but if you’re craving something different, consider a colourful trainer instead, like Veja’s new collaboration with chic New York handbag brand Mansur Gavriel.
A low-heeled mule or slingback will go with jeans, trousers and skirts, as will a classic Tod’s-style driving shoe. For off-duty comfort though, nothing beats a Birkenstock and I’m predicting its Boston clog style will be the shoe of the summer.
