World’s tiniest twin dies in mum’s arms aged 9 months after chronic lung disease

A devastated mum has revealed one of the world's tiniest twin's has died, aged just 9-months after suffering from chronic lung disease.

Brothers Ashley and Joe were born last April to mum Talia Keates, 33. The twins broke records weighing at just 403g and 429g each after being born 17 weeks premature.

Their eyes were fused shut as they had not fully developed at the time of birth, reports The Sun. Talia and her husband Oliver, 35, were already parents to four other kids.

When the twins were born, they were warned they may not survive, however they were sent home after four and a half months in hospital.
