But who would expect that the account calling him the “daddiest daddy” would be Lionsgate, the distributor behind Pascal’s latest film, “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent?”“I’m the daddiest daddy,” Pascal says in one of Lionsgate’s viral TikTok videos, taken from a livestream the actor did for the studio.

Warner Bros. and AppleTV+ marketing vet JP Richards and STX marketing exec Keri Moore are joining Lionsgate’s motion picture group respectively as President and Co-President of Worldwide Theatrical Marketing. They start Nov. 1.

EXCLUSIVE:  Deadline has learned that Marisa Liston and David Edwards, Lionsgate’s president and executive vice president of theatrical marketing, will be stepping away from their posts. A new search is promptly underway by Lionsgate for a new head of marketing.

Angelique Jackson Veteran PR executive Eric Kops has been officially named head of global communications and earned media for Lionsgate’s motion picture group.The announcement was made Thursday by Marisa Liston, Lionsgate’s president of global marketing, to whom Kops will report.Kops will oversee global feature film publicity on all wide theatrical releases, multi-platform releases and catalog, through the full cycle of their campaigns; he also will oversee strategic communications for the motion picture group as a whole. Kops has been unofficially serving in the role since last year, when Liston was promoted from the job to lead the global marketing department.“Eric could not be more respected for his creativity, intelligence, experience, and leadership skills, which made him the perfect choice to head up the department,” stated Liston, announcing the official move.

Eric Kops has been elevated to the new role of Lionsgate’s Head of Global Communications & Earned Media in the conglom’s motion picture division.

Rebecca Rubin Film and Media ReporterLionsgate has promoted David Edwards to executive VP of global marketing.In his new role, Edwards will report to Marisa Liston, the studio’s president of global marketing, and he will oversee creative, digital, and strategy for the studio’s global motion picture marketing department.Edwards most recently served as senior VP of global marketing strategy, where he developed and spearheaded campaigns for “The Hunger Games” franchise, “La La Land, “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” and “Knives Out.” He also worked on “Spiral: From the Book of Saw,” “The Hitman’s Bodyguard” films, Paul Feig’s dark comedy “A Simple Favor and “The Expendables” franchise. Edwards is currently focusing on “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent,” starring Nicolas Cage as Nicolas Cage, as well as “John Wick: Chapter 4” and “Borderlands, a video game adaptation featuring Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jamie Lee Curtis and Jack Black.

Lionsgate has promoted David Edwards to Executive Vice President, Global Marketing. In his new role at the studio, he will report to President of Global Marketing, Marisa Liston, overseeing creative, digital and strategy for its global motion picture marketing department.
