Together with Rozalyn Anderson, director of the Metabolism of Ageing programme at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he recently published a report in the prestigious Cell medical journal that indicates that regular fasting, when combined with a healthy diet, might even add 10-15 years to our lives.

The report blends many years of fasting research with volumes of healthy-eating research from around the world, especially from longevity hotspots.
