Nearly 17 years later, Rebecca Hall has more complex feelings about her professional association with Woody Allen than she previously stated.

Zack Sharf Digital News Director Rebecca Hall said in an interview with The Observer that she does not regret working with Woody Allen despite apologizing once for starring in “A Rainy Day in New York.” Hall has made two movies with Allen: “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” and “Rainy Day,” the latter of which she only filmed for one day. Hall came forward in 2018 amid the #MeToo movement to apologize for working with Allen. At the time, Allen’s adopted daughter Dylan Farrow was criticizing Hollywood for continuing to work with Allen despite her allegation that he molested her as a child.

He has vehemently denied the allegations and has never been charged with a crime in the case.Now, however, Hall has said she wishes she had not made the apology and stated that she does not believe actors should be pressured into taking a stance on such matters.In an interview with The Observer, she has explained that at the time she issued that statement, she was pregnant and in an emotional “tangle”, and in an effort to meet the moment and believe women, “I felt like I wanted to do something definitive”.“It is very unlike me to make a public statement about anything,” she added.
