Midfield enforcer Casemiro will miss Manchester United's UEFA Champions League clash with FC Copenhagen later this month after being sent off during Tuesday night's 3-2 defeat to Galatasaray at Old Trafford.
The Brazilian, who is United's leading goalscorer so far this season with four goals to his name, was sent off with 77 minutes on the clock after fouling Dries Mertens inside the penalty area.
The Belgian pounced on a loose pass from United goalkeeper Andre Onana and had his legs swiped by Casemiro. It was the midfielder's second booking of the game, having been booked just over 10 minutes before half-time.
Mauro Icardi stepped up to take the resulting penalty but dragged his effort wide. The Argentine, however, was not fazed by that miss, putting Galatasaray 3-2 up just a few minutes later, delicately lifting the ball over Onana.
