Mirror.One cheater who spoke to the journalist author claimed that one of his lovers always wears lingerie and perfume while after 20 years of marriage his wife is happy to fart in front of him.While another called “Lucas” claimed his heart leapt every time his wife walked into a room because he was so deeply in love with her, but he slept with a woman two days before his wedding day and just a week after their nuptials.He said his wife was “the sun around which my world revolves”.However, after a decade of marriage he says he’s had sex with more women than he can count – but he only loves his spouse.Another man, Jeff, claimed he kept his wife and lovers in separate boxes in his mind – one for love and the other for sex.The author of Cheatingland claims he got the idea for the book when he went to dinner with a pal and his girlfriend – despite the mate being married.And, his friend’s girlfriend joked they were in "Cheatingland" when they got together without their spouses knowing.The author wrote: "She made it sound like ‘Cheatingland’ was a clandestine little country with its own customs — sort of Fantasy Island, where wedding vows were forgotten and normally mild-mannered people could morph into sexual beasts."He spoke to men ranging from early 20s to late 60s – most said they were desperately in love with their wives, but cheated none-the-less.And, few of them felt guilty about their affairs.One bloke even said: "Cheating is, like, ‘Okay, let’s get a greasy, sloppy double cheeseburger and chow down on that even though I know that it’s bad for my heart, my cholesterol, my stomach, my weight, everything."He added that despite knowing it was bad it felt “so good in the moment”.
