Virgin Media – one of the most commonly used internet service providers in the UK – appears to be down this morning, as hundreds of frustrated Brits to try to log on and work from home.

According to independent outage monitor Down Detector, the issues started at roughly 10:50 GMT for most people, and users throughout the UK are unable to get online.

As per Down Detector, 52% of complaints report problems with their mobile phone, 30% reported issues with cable internet, and 16% with mobile internet.

So it seems like a whole service outage, rather than just one particular element of the Virgin system. Virgin Media is yet to comment on the outage, with its social channels remaining empty for the time being.
