Una Healy on medication ‘forever’ following autoimmune disease diagnosis

Irish singer Una Healy has spoken out about being diagnosed with the autoimmune disease Hashimoto’s as she revealed that she has to take medication for the rest of her life to manage it.

The Tipperary star suffers from Hashimato’s disease which is a disease that causes the immune system to turn on the thyroid gland and can result in a number nasty effects including fatigue, fertility issues, weight gain and more.

The mother-of-two had previously expressed her fears that she may never be able to have conceive after receiving the shocking news of her diagnosis.
