Brits are bracing for an icy plunge this week with snow set to fall in what could be the coldest week of Autumn.As early as Wednesday we could see the white stuff fall in places as temperatures struggle to top 10C.Forecasters at WX CHARTS predict that Scotland and northern England are particularly at risk and say that one inch of snow could settle south of Inverness by tomorrow.This could reach Carlisle by the early evening and cold temperatures mean that it is unlikely to melt away until the weekend.
