Brits have been revelling in a mini heatwave which is set to come to an end to make way for downpours and stormy weather. Mercury soared to the high 20s this month, especially over the past few weeks, however from the start of the new month the weather may take a turn.
From June 1, which is the official start of summer – the weather looks set to change as an area of low pressure moves in from the Atlantic, bringing with it rain and blustery showers.
WXCharts shows an area of low pressure moving towards the UK from Monday evening. The weather front is expected to pass through the west of the UK, particularly Northern Ireland and Scotland.
