Britain's heatwave will dramatically end with four days of thunderstorms and a month's rain falling in just a few hours. Forecasters say Monday could be the start of the joint-longest extreme heatwave on record - with 35C a possibility three days running.
But severe thunderstorms are also expected during this period with some areas due to see a month’s rain in just three hours.
The predicted 80mm deluge could cause flash flooding and yellow weather warnings are in place nationwide.
