This August Bank Holiday will see many Brits holidaying in the UK as millions avoid foreign travel over quarantine concerns.
But staycationers will have to cope with cool temperatures, with more high winds and foggy spells forecast as temperatures take a nosedive.
The gloomy weather comes after Storm Francis wreaked havoc on the country earlier this week, with those heading away this weekend also warned to expect traffic chaos after millions hit the roads on Fridays, sparking huge delays on motorways.
Latest BBC forecasts show temperatures as low as 5C in Edinburgh on Saturday night. The mercury will drop to 6C in Manchester on the same evening, while London is set to have a low of 10C.
