Britain is in for a rare Autumn scorcher if temperatures hit predicted highs of 30C tomorrow. Forecasts for a sizzling Monday are in store - and if the mercury tips thirty it will be the first time the milestone is reached during September in four years, the Met Office says.
A balmy weekend is set to make way for a baking start to the week- with a 'Saharan spurt' expected to blanket the south of England and Wales in summery heat on Monday and Tuesday.
The two-day scorcher should see highs of 30C reached in London from tomorrow, and warmer temperatures sweeping in from the Continent spread into the north and Scotland.
