The UK will wake up to dry and sunny weather conditions today after a wet and chilly week saw temperatures plummet. Most parts of the country will be dry with sunny spells on Saturday - but temperatures are set to remain cold.
Eastern parts of England will be cloudy, with some rain expected, according to the Met Office. It will be windy in many areas of the country, particularly in the East, with coastal gales possible, forecasters say.
The Met Office has seven flood alerts in place after the country was drenched by heavy rain on Friday. BBC Weather's Tomasz Schafernaker said a low pressure over the North Sea has sent gale-force winds along the coast, with gusts up to 67mph near Grimsby on Friday.
