Two men have been arrested after a 'bomb scare' on a Ryanair flight that prompted RAF jets to be scrambled. Flight FR1902 from Krakow to Dublin had to be diverted to Stansted Airport yesterday following reports a note was found in the plane's toilets claiming there were explosives on board.
The flight had taken off from Krakow in Poland and was heading to Dublin Two RAF Typhoon Jets escorted the Boeing 737 to the airport on the outskirts of London last night after its crew declared an emergency.
The plane landed about 6.40pm and was met by armed police who carried out checks at Stansted as passengers were evacuated. Essex Police say nothing suspicious was found on the aircraft.
