Boxing star Amir Khan has sent a cryptic message about his future following a tough defeat to Sheffield's Kell Brook. The Bolton-born former champ was stopped in the sixth round after a bruising encounter with his long-time rival.

All in capitals, he wrote: "SOMETIMES YOU'RE NOT GIVEN WHAT YOU WANT BECAUSE SOMETHING BETTER IS PLANNED FOR YOU INSTEAD." The lead up to the Khan v Brook fight saw the two 35-year-olds facing what many believed would be their final bout.
But now Khan has been given three weeks to consider whether to set up a rematch and give fans a repeat of one of British boxing's biggest recent draws.
