Abner Diaz gives a new spin to the phrase “fashion police.” The LAPD detective, played by actor and stand-up comedian Vladimir Caamaño in the CBS drama “Tommy,” is the best-dressed character in prime time.
The Bronx transplant exudes a snappy style with clothing by designers including Paul Smith, Hugo Boss and Ted Baker. He rocks a pinky ring, three-piece suits and complementary ties and pocket squares as he keeps tabs on his boss, ex-New Yorker and new police chief Abigail “Tommy” Thomas (Edie Falco), as the most dapper cop in her security detail.
Caamaño, a New Jersey resident, was born the middle son of three in Washington Heights and later raised in The Bronx by his Dominican parents, who still live there.
