Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge has announced the death of her 21-year-old son. Melissa shared Beckett with ex-partner, Julie Cypher.
Beckett was one of two children from Julie and Melissa, who had used musician David Crosby as a sperm donor in order to conceive.
Taking to Twitter, a member of Melissa's team shared the heartbreaking news with her 114,600 followers. A spokesperson said: "We're sad to inform you that Melissa's son Beckett passed away and there will not be a Concerts From Home show today. – #TeamME." No cause of death has been announced.
