Sign up to the weekly West Lothian Courier newsletter for the latest West Lothian news and sport.A clothing retailer in Livingston ran a ‘swap-a-coat’ scheme for the homeless.Tog 24, based at the Livingston Designer Outlet, operated the scheme for two weeks from October 10 until October 24 in conjunction with the local homeless charity, Rock Trust.Shoppers were asked to take their old coats and jackets into the store and in return they were given 15 per cent off any new Tog 24 coats or jackets.The jackets were then given to Rock Trust to be distributed to people in need just as the cold weather kicks in.Danny Heaton, marketing director for TOG24, said: “We helped over one thousand people living on the streets last year through this campaign.
