Tipping Point fans were left furious on the latest episode of the show after discovering bosses have made a major change to its format. The changes were teased on the show's official Twitter account as ITV finally get back to airing new episodes. The social media account teased the change as a tribute to the show’s 10-year anniversary.A post read: "Brand New Tipping Point returns to ITV.

And to celebrate 10 Years on your screen things have been shaken up in the studio a little... Join @benshephard from 4pm #TippingPoint."As fans tuned in to see the new changes, they were left outraged after the show dropped a contestant from the podium, leaving three in place of the usual four. The show also saw more time added to the clock, allowing contestants to win more chips to play in the machine.Fans flocked to Twitter to blast the change, arguing that it takes the competitive edge away from the show and is far less entertaining.“Why is #tippingpoint ruined?

Only 3 contestants and now 45 seconds on the bloody clock,” blasted one contestant.Another argued: “New #TippingPoint with 3 contestants not 4.

Why change the format after 10 years? “A third added: “I’m sorry, I know this is supposed to be a minor nitpick, but I really can’t fathom why they would suddenly reduce the contestant count to 3.”A fourth fan argued that the extra time clock made no difference to the show as the players didn’t score any extra points.“So she had 45 seconds, 15 seconds more than the old format and only got 3 right?
