Police investigating the fatal drive-by shooting of Salford University law student Aya Hachem in Blackburn have tonight arrested three men on suspicion of murder.
The suspects, aged 33, 36 and 39, remain in custody and are being interviewed by detectives. The arrests come after police made a public appeal for anyone with information to 'search their consciences'.
Aya, 19, was on her way to the supermarket when she was gunned down during a drive-by shooting. Witnesses heard two gunshots just before Ms Hachem, 19, was found unresponsive on King Street, in Blackburn town centre, and pronounced dead a short time later.
