Sikander Shafiq, 27, Kimberley Swaincott, 33, and Lynsey McCamphill, 32, each played ‘integral’ parts in the scam which saw fraudsters ring up the gentleman, pretending to be from BT.

The first man was persuaded to download an app onto his laptop and log into his internet banking account - the fraudsters stole over £5,000, Minshull Street Crown Court heard.

The second man was also ‘duped’ by the same fraudsters, instead they stole almost £8,000. The money was then transferred into the account of McCamphill, at the request of Swaincott and Shafiq, on the
