Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Manchester United starters Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire are currently all dealing with injuries at Euro 2020.At least two of the trio were expected to start in England’s opening match against Croatia on Sunday but only Marcus Rashford featured after coming off the bench.Shaw, 25, is currently managing an injury to his wrist tendons and has been seen wearing protective straps since he joined the England camp.The Manchester Evening News reports the injury may have been why Gareth Southgate opted for the right-footed Kieran Trippier at left-back over Shaw with the United man left on the bench.Shaw enjoyed a stellar season for his club where he registered six assists in all competitions and had been expected to start for England.
