'Demented' Putin's invasion could mean war for 'whole world tomorrow', expert warns
Russia or it could be the “end of our security” after Vladimir Putin’s troops attacked Ukraine, a security expert has warned. The Russian President launched his attack on the neighbouring country in the early hours causing death and destruction.Mr Putin announced the action during a televised address early on Thursday morning by saying the move was a response to threats from Ukraine.He then issued a warning to other countries that any attempt to interfere with the Russian action would lead to “consequences they have never seen”.Security expert Professor Anthony Glees believes Mr Putin’s threat was regarding nuclear weapons and that it “might be Ukraine today but could be all of us tomorrow”.He told the Daily Star: “No one in their right mind wants a nuclear war but it is possible, and i say this in all seriousness, that Putin may not be in his right mind, to me he looks demented.“To me he may even be drugged I don’t know but he has threatened us with nuclear war this morning and we must show that we are not going to back off, because if we do back off, it is effectively the end of NATO and the end of our security.”Reports across Ukraine have seen airstrikes cause destruction as well as reports of troops on the ground, including in the exclusion zone in Chernobyl.
