Meghan Markle proved to be a rather controversial topic on Monday's (6 May) Loose Women, with panellists Denise Welch and Coleen Nolan becoming embroiled in a firey row about the Duchess of Sussex. The panellists were joined by Dickie Arbiter, who served as the late Queen Elizabeth II's spokesperson from 1988 until 2000.
As Dickie discussed the on year anniversary of King Charles III's coronation the conversation eventually turned towards Meghan and Prince Harry, with Denise launching into a impassioned defence of the pair.
Dickie accused the couple of "walking out" on the Royal Family, to which Denise responded: "Why would they not walk out? Why would they want to spend their life in a country that hated them?" Before the Royal commentator could respond, fellow panellist Coleen interjected with: "We don't want you to come on here and have a debate really, we want to know how Charles is doing now, what's the future for Charles.
You know it's not a debate." To which Denise angrily replied: "Don't have a guest on and say... I can say what I like Coleen." Attempting to calm the situation down, Dickie then added: "You can, you can, fair enough." Further discussing the Sussexes relationship with the other Royals, Dickie added that the Meghan and Harry should make a public apology to King Charles and Prince William, for comments they made in both their Netflix docu-series and Harry's memoir Spare.
