Newcastle's new owners before the Saudi-backed consortium had completed their takeover earlier this month.After much speculation, Steve Bruce left the club by mutual consent on Wednesday, 13 days after the £305m buyout from the new Toon owners.Graeme Jones has taken interim charge of the Premier League strugglers, who are currently sitting in 19th place.But according to The Telegraph, former Roma boss Fonseca has been in the new owners' sights for some time to replace Bruce.It's claimed that representatives of Newcastle's new owners contacted Fonseca over the summer as they deliberated over the direction in which they would take the club.The Portuguese, who left his role in the Italian capital in May before Jose Mourinho's arrival, was
