Hafthor 'Thor' Björnsson, 33, has been making headlines recently ahead of his upcoming bout with fellow big fella Eddie Hall.
Björnsson made his name through a range of different high profile activities, all generally focused around his monumental size.The bruiser started gaining international attention on the World's Strongest Man circuit, where he crushed a huge record as the first person to win the Arnold Strongman Classic, Europe's Strongest Man and World's Strongest Man competitions in a single year.
But Thor's success in the strongman world has paved the way for a variety of other big-body pursuits. Between 2014 and 2019 he played the terrifying Gregor 'The Mountain' Clegane, henchman of the evil Cersei Lannister whose most notable time on screen came from the harrowing, shocking and downright disgusting head popping of Oberyn Martell, played by Pedro Pascal.
As well as his time as a now world-famous actor, Björnsson has also played as a pro basketballer tipping off his career playing in some of Iceland's top divisions.
