HE is hailed as one of the leading stars of the grime revival but Bugzy Malone tells me he owes just as much to film director Guy Ritchie as he does to his music career.
The Mancunian rapper became one of the genre’s breakthrough artists, earning himself the nickname King Of The North in the process.
But after winding down his touring to focus on diversifying his already impressive career, Bugzy says he knows life could have been very different.
In an exclusive interview, he says: “I had a very dysfunctional upbringing – there was lots of chaos, problems, but I was just a boy. “I started to realise over time that what I needed to do was become a man – leave all of that dysfunction behind, and find focus.
