The Apprentice semi-final came back with an almighty bang on Thursday as the remaining five contestants battled it out in brutal interviews to convince Lord Sugar's peers they were worth his £250,000 investment.

There is usually one week of the series that fans of The Apprentice look forward to the most but it appears some were not impressed with this year's round of candidate interviews as the show was slapped with complaints. The hit BBC One show returned to screens on Thursday night (March 16) for the penultimate episode of the 17th series.

Lord Sugar has revealed a twist to The Apprentice when it returns in January - after a trailer for Series 17 was dropped. The first episode is going to take place in Antigua & Barbuda.
