It may be famous for its sausages, but at this year's Manchester Christmas Markets there's plenty more to discover among the vast array of food and drink stalls that have arrived for the festive run-in.
For the big return of the festive event this year's there's a huge new hub with the opening of Winter Gardens at Piccadilly Gardens with a raft of food and drink stalls around two new alpine-style raised wooden platforms and seating semi-covered by tipis.
But the markets also spread out across the city at a further six zones this year including Exchange Square, St Ann's Square and King Street, with mouth-watering treats at every turn.
