Six by Nico in Liverpool was given a zero-star food hygiene rating after an inspection last month. The chain restaurant, which also has a branch on Manchester's Spring Gardens, is known for its varied tasting menus.
But after a visit from Liverpool Council inspectors on October 22, the North John Street restaurant was awarded the worst possible hygiene rating, the Liverpool Echo reports.
Restaurant bosses said they were 'extremely disappointed' with the report.
