The Queen is lying in state in Edinburgh’s St Giles Cathedral ahead of her final journey to London later today. Overnight, it's thought that “tens of thousands” of mourners paid their respects for the late Queen, who passed away on 8 September at the age of 96.

King Charles III took his place by his mother Queen Elizabeth II's coffin at St Giles' Cathedral for the Vigil of the Princes.
