TAKESHI'S Castle is finally getting a proper reboot - but fans said they won't tune unless narrator Craig Charles returns. The hit Japanese reality game show is being rebooted by Amazon Prime Video and will premiere in 2023.

It gained popularity in the UK with actor Craig Charles co-writing and providing the voiceover between 2002 and 2004 for Challenge TV and notably coined the contestants "Keshi-heads".

It saw contestants tackle a number of ridiculous obstacles in a bid to get closer to the castle, first hit television screens in the UK in 2002.

It ran for six successful series before it made a one-off return in 2013 for a special episode. Comedy duo Dick & Dom - known for Dick & Dom in da Bungalowm- then took over commentating duties in 2013, but their presenting skills were heavily slammed by fans.
