'I own Europe's most haunted house but I'm too terrified to stay overnight'
The homeowner of what is dubbed as Europe's 'most haunted house', openly admits he is "too scared" to spend a night in his spooky property because of eerie encounters. The house, located at 30 East Drive in Pontefract, is notorious for being the abode of a belligerent poltergeist. Bil Bungay, 60, revealed: "I've never spent the night out in the house, it terrifies me." He also shared: "I think this thing is not just terrifying, but it's also intelligent and playful - it sort of shows off. That intrigues me the most about whatever is in that house." When it comes to visiting the paranormal location, his routine is quite unique: "When I go, I always make a point of saying hello and asking how it is and I always say 'please don't freak me out, I don't know if my heart can take it.'" The hair-raising happenings in the three-bed property started in 1966 with the Pritchard family experiencing a non-stop series of bizarre incidents, including lights flipping off, unexplained green foam spewing from faucets, pictures being mysteriously torn, and even family members reportedly being hit and pushed down the stairs.
