Rodri's first words after Man City ace wins Ballon d'Or 2024

Rodri entered the ceremony as the favourite after Real Madrid remarkably chose to boycott the event. The Spanish club claimed they knew that their winger Vinicius Jr.
was not going to win and this 'disrespect' was their reasoning for not attending. This prediction proved to be correct as Rodri finished ahead of Vinicius Jr., Jude Bellingham and Dani Carvajal to win the Ballon d'Or.
City teammate Erling Haaland finished fifth. "I always said one of my key things is to improve every day," the Spanish midfielder explained. "I was a traditional midfielder but I knew I needed to be better in the final third that's why I have improved there.
