Ruud van Nistelrooy could be a target for Leicester if the Foxes decide to part company with under pressure boss Steve Cooper.
The Dutchman has enhanced his reputation following his stint as Manchester United interim head coach, winning three and drawing one of his four matches in charge.
United sacked Erik ten Hag last month and appointed Van Nistelrooy on a temporary basis. The former PSV manager won his first game - a 5-2 victory over Leicester - but followed that up with a 1-1 draw with Chelsea.
United beat PAOK 2-0 before thrashing Leicester again, securing a 3-0 success over Cooper's Foxes. That proved to be Van Nistelrooy's final game before Ruben Amorim started work as the new permanent head coach last Monday.
