Manchester United icon Ruud van Nistelrooy has admitted he was happy with the 'short and intense' job he did at Old Trafford after becoming interim manager for a brief spell.
Van Nistelrooy was given the temporary position after Erik ten Hag was sacked by Ineos following a historically bad start to the Premier League campaign.
The ex-Dutch striker, who only rejoined the club in the summer as an assistant, steadied the ship at United masterminding two victories over Leicester City as well as a win over PAOK.
Upon Ruben Amorim's arrival at Old Trafford, Van Nistelrooy was released from his contract but was soon picked up by Leicester after they sacked Steve Cooper.
