Modest Mouse have been “tentatively” planning an anniversary tour to celebrate 20 years of their landmark album ‘Good News For People Who Love Bad News’.The band celebrated the album’s 20th birthday with a reissue and expanded edition featuring eight additional remixes from the likes of MGMT’s Andrew VanWyngarden (‘The View’), Jacknife Lee (‘Bury Me With It’), Dan the Automator (‘Float On’), and Justin Raisen (‘The Good Times Are Killing Me’).Now, Modest Mouse frontman Isaac Brock has told Rolling Stone in a new interview that he was hoping to tour the album with the original members of the band who played on the album.“It’s the only record where I can do a tour with all the living members, all the exact same members,” he said. This is the case because it is the band’s only record to not feature late drummer Jeremiah Green due to his temporary departure from the band.

Pixies and Modest Mouse have announced their joint 2024 US tour with Cat Power which is set to kick off later this year.The co-headlining tour will see Power provide opening support and is set to kick off on Friday, May 31 at the Firefly Distillery in Charleston, South Carolina. From there, the are set to make stops in major cities such as Nashville, Atlanta, Pittsburg, Toronto, Philadelphia, Queens, Mansfield, Chicago, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Austin, Irving and more.The tour will wrap up on Sunday, June 30 at Fiddler’s Green in Denver, Colorado.

As of February 26, he has played the riff 990 days in a row. Modest Mouse have announced a North American tour celebrating two and a half decades since they released their breakthrough second album, 1997’s ‘The Lonesome Crowded West’.Kicking off in November, the band will tour as a four-piece on the road, with founding members Isaac Brock and Jeremiah Green joined by Russell Higbee and Simon O’Connor – who joined the band in 2012 and 2021 respectively.The 20-date tour will begin at the Wilma Theater in Missoula on November 18 and will continue along to Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Austin, Dallas, Chicago, Washington, Philadelphia, Boston and more before wrapping up on December 17 at Terminal 5 in New York.
