Puddle of Mudd’s Wes Scantlin has claimed he was “roofied” by his ex-bandmate before a disastrous gig, which took place over the weekend at Daytona Bike Week.The rock group was playing at a benefit show at the Broken Spoke Saloon on Saturday (March 1), in Florida, as part of the bike week. The event was free, however, members of the band signed a guitar to be auctioned at the show – which was then bought by a bidder who paid $5000 for the instrument, with the money going towards children’s cancer research.However, according to Loudwire, attendees reported several issues with the show, from sound to Scantlin’s general stage presence – which was allegedly shaky as he was stumbling and rambling.However, Scantlin claims he was “roofied” by his former bandmate, bassist Sean Sammon.

To Birmingham on July 5th.”Now, a billboard has popped up in Las Vegas with the band’s logo and phrase “V is coming…” beneath it.

Chris Willman Senior Music Writer and Chief Music Critic Joey Molland, guitarist for the group Badfinger, who had continued leading a touring edition of the group decades after other key members had passed on, died Saturday night at age 77. Badfinger was best known for the late ’60s/early ’70s hits “No Matter What You Do,” “Day After Day,” “Come and Get It” and “Baby Blue.” Molland did not sing lead on the original recordings of those classic songs, but ably took on that duty in concerts for decades to come, touring the band’s catalog and his own solo material on up through the summer of 2024, becoming a cult figure among fans of that era’s music for his good will and enthusiasm in keeping the Badfinger flag flying.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs for alleged sexual harassment and “forced compliance with degrading sexual acts”.Kirk Burrowes, who established the powerful label that was home to The Notorious B.I.G., Faith Evans and Lil Kim alongside Combs in 1993, filed the lawsuit on Friday (February 28), outlining what he describes as a workplace filled with sexual and physical abuse.As reported by Rolling Stone, Burrowes claims that Combs’ abusive behaviour went on to morph into physical violence, blackmail, blacklisting and financial extortion.Diddy’s representatives have not responded to the suit, but his team have spoken out several times this week in response to other lawsuits, asserting: “No matter how many lawsuits are filed…it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone”.Burrowes alleges that Combs groped his crotch and buttocks and forced him to watch Combs engage in sex acts with co-workers at their Manhattan offices.

David Johansen, the frontman of punk band the New York Dolls, has died. He was 75.

David Johansen, the frontman and last surviving member of proto-punk band New York Dolls, who went on to become a lounge singer under the name Buster Poindexter and act in films such as “Scrooged,” has died. His daughter Leah Hennessey confirmed that he died Friday at home in New York. He was 75.

Why Don’t We have lost the use of the band name after a lengthy legal battle with their former management.In 2022, the Los Angeles five-piece announced their hiatus in the middle of a legal battle with Signature Entertainment, to whom they signed upon forming in 2016.Why Don’t We released two studio albums under their guidance – 2018’s ‘8 Letters’ and last year’s ‘The Good Times And The Bad Ones’, both of which landed on Atlantic Records – but in the months leading to the announcement, they had been fighting to break away from their contract.Per Rolling Stone, last night (February 27), a jury in an Orlando courtroom ruled that four of the band’s members – Zach Herron, Corbyn Besson, Jonah Marais, and Jack Avery – must each pay a sum of US$1 to their former manages in Signature Entertainment over breach of contract.As a result of this, the band members are barred from using the band’s name in the future. The fifth Why Don’t We member, Daniel Seavey, filed for bankruptcy at an undisclosed time years ago, and thus his name was removed from the contract.In the lawsuit, Herron, Besson, Marais and Avery had accused their former manager David Loeffler of abuse.

The Beta Band have been teasing some kind of reunion after appearing to be active on social media this past month.Formed in 1996 by Scottish musicians Steve Mason and Gordon Anderson, The Beta Band would go on to release three albums: 1999’s ‘The Beta Band’, 2001’s ‘Hot Shots II’ and 2004’s ‘Heros To Zeros’. They eventually broke up in 2004, explaining that they were £1.2 million in debt to their record company.Since the start of this month, The Beta Band have been active on social media.
