They have previously shared the singles ‘I’m In Love (Subaru)’, ‘Condensation’ and ‘Bang Bang Bang’.Now, they have returned with the reflective ‘Maybe When We’re 30’, a somewhat sardonic ode to the concept of settling down as you get older and seeing your social circles transform.

At the same time, frontman Alex Rice sings: “And little Jimmy gets B’s in Maths /anf two shots in the head / Washington gets dinner dates and fancy IPAs / and Newton still gets robocalls / From the NRA,” contemplating gun culture in the U.S.

Sports Team have been robbed at gunpoint in California after arriving in the States for their US tour.The Cambridge band were robbed at roughly 9am PST (5pm GMT) in Vallejo, CA, outside of San Francisco. According to a press release, the band had just arrived from the UK for a string of live shows on the West Coast.In a video clip captured by the band and shared on their official Instagram account, a couple of men can be seen breaking into the group’s sprinter van as a coffee shop employee yells for everyone to stay inside as the robbers were armed.“Just been robbed at gun point 10 minutes into the US tour. Sports Team have postponed their US tour as they delay the release of second album ‘Gulp!’.The record was originally scheduled for release July 22 before being pushed back to August 26 due to “production issues”.It’s now been confirmed that the follow-up to ‘Deep Down Happy‘ will be released September 23, with both their upcoming US headline tour and a string of record store appearances also postponed.Taking to Instagram, Sports Team wrote: “Hey pals, bit of chaos for you. Sports Team have announced their ‘Friendship tour’ dates in support of their forthcoming second album ‘Gulp‘.The indie rockers have an 11-date run scheduled across the UK and Ireland between October 11 and 25, 2022. Ahead of that, they play 17 shows in the US from mid September until early October, with dates kicking off in Atlanta on September 16.In the UK the band will play shows in Leeds Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham, Southampton, Bristol, Norwich, London, Belfast and Dublin.

The Libertines have announced a series of UK dates celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut album ‘Up The Bracket’.The band, who are already in the middle of their ‘Giddy Up A Ding-Dong Tour’, have announced three huge outdoor shows in Manchester, Hatfield and Cardiff along with an indoor show in Edinburgh.The shows will kick off at Castlefield Bowl on July 1 before moving on to Hatfield House on July 22, Cardiff Bute Park on August 5 and Edinburgh O2 Academy on August 8.Support will come from Supergrass at Hatfield House, while Sports Team will support the band’s dates in Manchester and Cardiff. Tickets for the gigs go on sale this Friday (December 3) at 9am.
