Brian Eno has announced the official soundtrack for his upcoming documentary film, Eno.The musician took to social media to announce the documentary’s accompanying soundtrack, which is due for release digitally on April 19, and on physical in North America and Mexico on June 7 – pre-order your copy now.A post shared by Brian Eno (@brianeno)The soundtrack will consist of 17 tracks, featuring “work from early solo outings, acclaimed collaborations with the likes of David Bryne, John Cale, Cluster and more recently, Fred again… all the way through to music from his latest album, ‘FOREVERANDEVERNOMORE’, and his 2022 appearance at the Acropolis in Athens with brother Roger.”The record will also include three previously unreleased songs – one of which, titled Lighthouse #429′ has now been shared. Listen to the track below.The Eno documentary – helmed by Gary Hustwit – premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.

Julien Baker made a surprise appearance at Touché Amoré’s set in Los Angeles, joining them in a rendition of ‘Reminders’. Last week (December 8), the Boygenius member joined the post-hardcore band during their set opening for Deafheaven at Los Angeles’ The Novo, providing harmonies and clean vocals for a high-energy rendition of ‘Reminders’, a cut from their 2020 full-length ‘Lament’.

Turnstile have announced they are parting ways with guitarist Brady Ebert after 12 years together.The outfit shared the news in an Instagram story, writing: “We are deeply grateful for our time together. Our love for him continues and we wish him nothing but the best moving forward.”Ebert is yet to comment on his reason for leaving the band, and no details surrounding the circumstances have been given.

Sports Team have dropped off a new single, ‘Cool It Kid’ – check out the song’s video below.Taken from the band’s forthcoming new album ‘Gulp!’, which is due out July 22 via Island Records (pre-order), ‘Cool It Kid’ – which also features Sorry’s Asha Lorenz – follows the release of recent singles ‘The Game’ and ‘R Entertainment’.Born from the time the band spent living together in a house share in Camberwell, Sports Team’s new track taps into the frustrations of six people, no matter how much they love each other, driving each other mad by living in such close confines.Speaking about the new single, the band said ‘Cool It Kid’ is about “getting too deep in your stress about stuff and sometimes saying to yourself, ‘You know what, maybe sometimes you should sit back and it’s best not to react on your intense irrational emotions.'”Check out the new track below:Sports Team’s last album was their debut release, 2020’s ‘Deep Down Happy’. SCALPING have announced details of their debut album ‘Void’, as well as sharing a futuristic video for lead single ‘Flashforward’.The Bristol band, who were included in the NME 100 in 2021, are set to release the album on April 29 via Houndstooth.“We wrote this whole album without playing a single note of it together,” the band’s Alex Hill explained. “We produced all of the songs using the computer – as a blend of recordings and samples of our live drums, guitars and drum machines into production software – and then translated it all back into a live performance.“Although there are structured songs on the record, there’s no explicit focus on exactly recreating those songs live either. Everything is adapted to work into a set that flows well.

Japanese Breakfast stopped by The Late Late Show With James Corden last night (January 18) to perform her track ‘Slide Tackle’ – watch it below.The singer-songwriter (real name Michelle Zauner) – who released her latest album, ‘Jubilee’, last summer – sat down with Corden to discuss her two Grammy nominations and her upcoming appearance on this year’s Coachella line-up.Asked where she was when she found out about her Grammy nods – for Best New Artist and Best Alternative Music Album – Zauner said: “I was at my apartment in Brooklyn, and I screamed a lot and ran around, and my neighbours probably thought I was a crazy person.”She then told a story of how her husband filmed her reaction, although he ended up mostly just focusing on the TV on which they watched the announcements, which Zauner joked was because he’s “not the most savvy person”.She also talked about how Union Transfer, the Philadelphia venue she used to work at before becoming famous, recently honoured her by installing a plaque at the venue and renaming coatcheck (the part of the venue she worked in) after her.You can watch Japanese Breakfast’s performance and interview below:In a four-star review of ‘Jubilee’, NME‘s Will Richards said: “After making her name writing about the most difficult topics possible, Zauner proves here that it’s within your grasp to grab joy from that pain even when it feels impossible.
