Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.Big-hearted volunteers in Stonehouse are reminding people in the village that they are still there if they need help during these uncertain times.The Stonehouse Coronavirus Support Group was set up during lockdown and offered a number of services including; picking up prescriptions, food deliveries and cutting gardens for the elderly and vulnerable.Another part of their project saw them help to open the doors of St Ninian’s Church as a foodbank to support those suffering as a consequence of poverty, austerity and the impact of jobs losses and income during the pandemic.A spokesperson for the group said: “On average this has supported 50 families.
