England having won the T20I series 3-0.A statement confirmed that a South African player tested positive in the latest round of scheduled testing performed on Thursday.The two teams will still play three ODIs with the series now starting on Sunday.
The second clash will take place on Monday with the final meeting on Wednesday.The statement added: “In the interests of the safety and well-being of both teams, match officials and all involved in the match, the acting CEO of CSA, Kugandrie Govender as well as the CEO of the ECB, Tom Harrison, have agreed to postpone the first fixture to Sunday.”The two sides were due to meet at Newlands for the first clash with an 11am UK start time on Friday.Reports began to surface around 90 minutes before.
